  1. Rediscovering Camp McDowell

    June 20, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ 523 S. Webster St.

    McDowell Grove Forest Preserve in Naperville is comprised of mature woodlands, open fields, a lake, pond and abundant wildlife with the DuPage River running through it. But this beautiful 515-acre site has a storied history. Learn the secrets hidden within McDowell Grove from Chris Gingrich, education outreach specialist for the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, during a special presentation, “Rediscovering Camp McDowell,” to be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at Naper Settlement’s Pre-Emption House.   2. Naper Nights

    June 21, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ 523 S. Webster St.

    Bring your blanket and chairs to enjoy this first weekend of our summer concert series. On Friday night come hear American English (7:45 p.m.) and rock out to your favorite Beatles' tunes. Opening Act (6:00 p.m.) - Ska To Catch 'Em All is a high energy ska band based out of Lisle, Illinois. Their big influences include Streetlight Manifesto, Suburban Legends and Reel Big Fish. Join in the fun the fourth weekend in July and August for other tribute bands covering Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Journey and Dave Matthews!

    June 22, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ On the grounds at Naper Settlement

    Bring your blanket and chairs to enjoy this first weekend of our summer concert series. Rock out to Heartache Tonight (8:00 p.m.), an Eagles Tribute Band. Righteous Hillbillies (6:00 p.m.) open the night with country rock from the 70s through today, featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty, Allman Brothers and more. Join in the fun the fourth weekend in July and August for other tribute bands covering Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Journey and Dave Matthews!

    Imagine yourself in another place and time as you walk through the beautiful museum grounds where you will experience a simpler lifestyle. After being greeted by a staff member, choose your route through the museum grounds, with an option to include the Riverwalk. After your walk, log in your minutes/miles, enjoy a healthy treat and camaraderie with fellow walkers.

  6. Naper's 19 Walking Tour

    June 29, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM @ Tour steps off from Centennial Beach

    Guided walking tour of Joseph Naper’s original 19 blocks of Naperville with an emphasis on downtown Naperville living and the German immigrant experience. Highlights of the tour include the site of Naper Academy, Hannah Ditzler’s home, the site of Stenger Brewery, and where Ed Stoos made his once famous Naperville soda water. All ages welcome.
